Brabners Chaffe Street has appointed corporate partner Mark Brandwood as managing partner of its Manchester office.

Brandwood replaces Robert Street in the role, following an internal reshuffle resulting from the merger between Brabners Chaffe Street and James Chapman & Co earlier this year.

Tony Harper has been appointed as head of the corporate division in Manchester, replacing Tom Burton. Both Street and Burton remain with the firm as senior partners in the corporate department.

Brandwood told The Lawyer: “Since the merger, we now offer a complete service and we’ve seen strong growth in non-corporate teams, such as employment, property and litigation. We also have a five-year plan to double in size and we will take opportunities for lateral recruitment as they arise.”

As first reported in The Lawyer (18 May), the firm’s managing partner Michael Brabner said the addition of the James Chapman team, as well as continued growth, should push next year’s revenue to the £25m mark.
