DLA Piper has beefed up its Italian operation via the hire of Aldo Calza as partner and head of its Milan employment, pensions and benefits practice.
Caldo, who joins the firm from Italian independent Ripa di Meana LC & Associati, brings with him two assistants, Licia Ioele and Daniella Pelizza. The move brings DLA’s employment, pensions and benefits team to six lawyers.
Caldo has 16 years of experience on a range of legal matters related to human resource management, including pensions, stock and option plans, industrial relations, equal pay and employment disputes.
Managing partner at DLA Piper Italy, Federico Sutti, said that Caldo has strong employment law expertise and that there is an increasing demand for quality lawyers in that field.
