Professionals associated with the construction industry may be unprepared for the new health and safety regime which will come into force in March. The new regulations, which impose duties on all those involved in construction work, have just been laid before Parliament. The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1995 will implement aspects of an EC Directive aimed at minimising the risks to all involved in carrying out such work and for subsequent users of a building.
