Reed Smith re-elects managing partner for European push

Pittsburgh-based Reed Smith has elected Gregory Jordan to a second three-year term as managing partner. Jordan stood unopposed in the election in which every partner voted.

Jordan oversaw an eventful first term during which Warner Cranston bedded down its merger with UK firm Warner Cranston and absorbed 25-lawyer New York firm Parker Duryee into its Manhattan office. Late last year, the firm added Californian firm Crosby Heafy Roach & May to its growing empire, which now boasts more than 1000 lawyers in 18 offices across the United States and United Kingdom.

The firm is now looking for a partner in continental Europe. Jordan told The Lawyer: “We will continue to grow and we’re looking in both France and Germany in particular.”
