McGrigors’ new relationship with shoe retailer Jimmy Choo has been a big win for the firm’s real estate team.
Having advised on four deals for the group in the past four months, this is understandably a relationship the firm wishes to nurture.
While discussing the team’s latest deal with Jimmy Choo, McGrigors partner Suzanne Gill admitted she had considered novel fee structures for this particular client.
“Some people criticise alternative fee arrangements, but I was willing to consider payment involving shoes and handbags for this transaction,” she confesses.
Tulkinghorn is unsure how some of her fellow partners may have responded to such a deal.
