What was your first-ever job?
Working part-time for a major DIY retailer while still at school. Not sure that my DIY advice was of the highest quality.
What was your worst experience as a trainee?
I tried to convince a district judge that I knew more about insolvency law than he did. He sat back and told me that he had actually helped to write the insolvency rules. Needless to say, I’m more careful now.
Where’s the best place to go if you want to find out what’s really going on in the office?
I can’t say. I have to protect my source.
What time do you usually leave the office?
What do you do at weekends?
Spend time with the family, watch Leeds United and go shopping (I love shopping).

Being involved in something new every day and delivering the best results for our clients.
What’s the toughest thing about your job?
Increased administration and regulation.
What’s your biggest work/career mistake and what did you learn from it?
Probably not developing the ability to ‘switch off’ at an early stage. I have learned from that that going on holiday is a nightmare.
