Morgan Lewis & Bockius has made its first significant French hire since opening in Paris last June with the arrival of Stéphan Alamowitch from Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe. Alamowitch, who was Orrick’s head of structured finance, will help establish a global finance practice for Morgan Lewis. He brings with him two associates. Alamowitch joins Morgan Lewis after a decade at Orrick and Paris forerunner Watson Farley & Williams. Morgan Lewis opened in Paris in June 2004 with a 15-lawyer team from De Pardieu Brocas Maffei Leygonie (now De Pardieu Brocas Maffei), led by former De Pardieu name partner Jean Leygonie. The office now has 23 lawyers, including five partners.
