Fox & Gibbons' Dubai office has lost its third office head in less than three years.
Former Dubai resident partner Jane Pittaway has left the firm to join Birmingham-based Wragge & Co as a commercial partner. She took over as managing partner in Dubai when the previous incumbent Christopher Dixon resigned 18 months ago.
Dixon lasted less than six months in the role after being sent to the Gulf from the firm's Istanbul office.
He had replaced the then managing partner Jeremy Key, who left to set up on his own in Dubai in early 1996. It is believed that a reason for Key's departure was related to Fox & Gibbons' profit sharing structure, which was weighted against expatriate partners.
After his departure, the firm reorganised its remuneration system to create greater incentives for resident partners in overseas offices.
On his resignation, Dixon joined Key to form Key & Dixon in Dubai, which is linked to Nabarro Nathanson.
Neither Pittaway nor Fox & Gibbons were available for comment at the time of going to press. However, it is believed that a replacement for Pittaway in Dubai has been found.
