DLA Piper‘s US and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Emea) arms sneak ahead of Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw’s (MBR&M) by profit per equity partner (PEP) among this group of transatlantic peers, which have all either completed a transatlantic merger, or are planning one.

Bakers is included in the group as London is its largest office. Its PEP of £411,000 falls in line with those of Jones Day, Reed Smith and Kirkpatrick & Lockhart Nicholson Graham.

Reed Smith will add around £60m in revenue when it merges with Richards Butler on 1 January 2007.

Kirkpatrick’s anticipated merger with Preston Gates & Ellis would take combined revenue at the merged firm to around $650m (£371.43m), but that deal seems much further from completion.

MBR&M leads the way on revenue per lawyer, while its PEP is on par with DLA Piper’s east and west operations.
