Newcastle-based Ward Hadaway has increased turnover 13 per cent to £28m, from £25.1m this time last year.
However with average profit per equity partner (PEP) growth has been sluggish, increasing just 2.5 per cent to £415,000 from £405,000.
The results follow raids on its regional rivals to launch in Leeds in July (The Lawyer, 3 June 2008)
Managing partner Jamie Martin said the firm had seen strong growth across its corporate, employment and healthcare.
The firm is preparing for the economic slowdown, he said, which would be “a test of the resilience of our business, particularly in the light of the challenges facing the house building sector.”
Client wins in 2007-08 include healthcare panel wins County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, Tees Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Trust and North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
