Bird & Bird finance partner Brett Israel has joined Lawrence Graham as a partner and international restructuring and insolvency team head.

Keystone Law has hired Alex Ferrari as a consultant in its dispute resolution team. He was a litigation partner with Fasken Martineau.

Andrew Walker, a former CMS Cameron McKenna real estate disputes partner, has joined Dundas & Wilson as a partner.

Private client firm Maurice Turnor Gardner has hired former Allen & Overy (A&O) litigation partner Guy Henderson. Henderson, who spent more than 30 years at A&O, retired from the firm at the end of April. He will join Maurice Turnor, which spun out of A&O in 2009, as a consultant in September.

Mayer Brown’s London senior partner Sean Connolly has been re-elected to serve another five-year term, defeating London banking and finance head Dominic Griffiths.

Birketts has appointed two new partners, promoted seven associates and recruited new legal expertise. Adam Jones has been promoted to the partnership while Emma Carter has been hired as a partner from Berwin Leighton Paisner, where she was a consultant. Lisa Hayward, Ruth Sunaway, Stefan Harris-Wright, Nick Burt, Eileen McKendry-Gray, Cationa Semple and Ross Wiltshire have been made senior associates and newly qualified solicitor Paul Gorman has joined the firm.

Clyde & Co has brought in marine claims expert Jai Sharma as head of its cargo casualty business in Guildford. He was a director with Dolphin Maritime & Aviation Services.

Clare Carter, a partner and head of the personal injury team at Trethowans, has joined the Action against Medical Accidents clinical negligence panel.

Brabners Chaffe Street has appointed David Griffiths as IT director from Pannone, where he headed the firm’s IT department.

Boutique Manchester firm Heatons has hired ex-Cantor Law director Stephen Evans-Jones as a partner in its real estate team.

Pannone has appointed former AXA Corporate Partnerships manager Kate Burke as business development manager for its affinity solutions division.

Berrymans Lace Mawer has promoted fraud associate Craig Nunn to partner.

Stephensons has promoted Louise Griffiths in clinical negligence and Sean Joyce in regulatory, serious fraud and business crime to the equity partnership.

Hogan Lovells has hired Carmen Nuñez-Lagos as a partner in it Paris international arbitration practice. She was an associate at Bredin Prat.

Vincenzo Salvatore, former head of legal services at European Medicines Agency, has become senior counsel at Sidley Austin in its life sciences regulatory practice, based in Brussels.

German firm Luther has promoted Philipp Dietz (corporate/M&A, Cologne), Christoph von Burgsdorff (corporate/M&A/international arbitration/litigation, Hamburg), Andreas Tüxen (corporate law/M&A/litigation, Berlin) and Philipp Zschaler (litigation/real estate/restructuring and insolvency, Berlin) to the partnership.

DLA Piper has appointed Jan Geert Meents as its new managing partner in Germany.

K&L Gates has hired former Cabinet Dussert Selarl partner Bertrand Dussert and ex-Fasken Martineau DuMoulin partner to its Paris office.

Dorsey & Whitney has hired Eric Rytter as a partner and head of its New York private equity practice from Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, where he was an attorney.

Ropes & Gray partner William Yongkyun Kim has been registered with the Korean Bar Association as the first foreign legal consultant in Korea.
