Last week Bristol firm Alsters acted for Sale fly-half Simon Mannix on his transfer to Gloucester. Manchester firm Horwich Farrelly advised Sale on the deal and London-based Harrison Curtis advised Gloucester.
Alsters' solicitor Andrew Macmillan said: “We have had negotiations now with virtually all clubs in the Allied Dunbar Premiership [the top division in English rugby] in the last 12 months.”
Macmillan added that virtually all his time is now taken up by rugby-related matters.
Along with Mannix, the firm has also acted recently for a number of internationals including Kyran Bracken, David Rees, Simon Shaw and Paul and Richard Wallace and represents the England squad in negotiations with the Rugby Football Union.
Meanwhile West End firm David Conway & Co recently acted for Saracens on raising £1.2m from existing shareholders and members of the the club by a private share issue.
