500 join in Docklands nuisance claim

APPROXIMATELY 500 claimants have joined a multi-party action claiming against the London Docklands Development Corporation (LDDC) for dust nuisance.

The plaintiffs are claiming for problems arising from the development of the Limehouse link road.

Leigh Day & Co partner Sally Moore is also representing 680 residents in a multi-million pound compensation action against Canary Wharf Ltd for television interference caused by the redevelopment.

In his judgment on this action Judge Richard Havery QC said the English legal system would protect an individual's right to receive television pictures free from interference.

Canary Wharf Ltd has obtained a stay of proceedings pending resolution of appeal.
