Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson has lost its second corporate partner to Kirkland & Ellis just weeks after the New York firm’s talks with Ashurst Morris Crisp fell through.

Thomas Christopher is joining Kirkland one month after Stephen Fraidin, one of Fried Frank’s most senior partners, left for the same destination in a move that shocked the New York legal market.

Christopher, son of the former US Secretary of State Warren Christopher, has been with Fried Frank for four years, after moving to the firm in June 1999 from White & Case.
