Plexus bags second merger this year

Professional indemnity firm Plexus Law is set to undergo yet another merger after the crime defence practice of Cheshire-based law firm Bott & Co split with its claimant arm.

The merger comes just two months after Plexus incorporated with commercial solicitors Gaston Whybrew, as revealed by www.thelawyer.com (19 March).

The newly-created firm will retain the name Plexus Law and remains part of umbrella organisation Parabis Group, with Plexus’ current managing partner Tim Oliver also staying in post.

Plexus will now provide Bott & Co with a defence service to compliment its claimant-focussed practice.

Oliver said that the combined firm will provide additional resources to each firm, while David Bott, the senior partner at Bott & Co said the union will allow his firm to continue to offer excellent customer service and allow them to deliver “innovative solutions to the market”.
