Spanish firm Cuatrecasas has nudged its partnership closer to the 200 mark, making up 21 new partners in this year’s round of promotions.
The firm now has 193 partners, with the promotions boosting the size of its partnership by 12 per cent.
The new partners were voted in during the firm’s annual partner retreat, this year held in the Portuguese town of Cascais.
Cuatrecasas has concentrated on reinforcing its domestic offices such as Barcelona, Madrid and Bilbao, as well as making up a partner in Portugal.
The mass promotions come after a hiring spree which has seen the firm bring in three new partners in as many weeks.
The firm has hired tax partner Joan Hortala in Barcelona, media specialist Luis Murillo in Zaragoza and urban development lawyer Mercedes Izquierdo in Seville.
Out of the 21 successful promotion candidates, only one woman, Eva Lasunción Patús, was made up to partner.
