•The planned visit by the Indian minister of law and justice that was originally scheduled for mid-June has now been postponed. Minister Shri Hansraj Bhardwaj had to back out of the dates commencing 18 June as he is required to remain in India for the nominations for the next Indian president, who will replace the outgoing APJ Abdul Kalam. The minister’s visit was to be a follow-up to that of the Lord Mayor of the City of London’s visit to India last month. Bhardwaj’s trip, which has now been rescheduled for a date in July, will be aimed at further exploring India’s position in the opening of its legal market to foreign competition.
