When it comes to holding one’s nerve, Tulkinghorn has a flawless reputation. Regrettably, the same can’t be said for Jimmy ‘The Whirlwind’ White. For all his ability, the mercurial snooker star made a career out of losing important finals.

When it comes to holding one’s nerve, Tulkinghorn has a flawless reputation. Regrettably, the same can’t be said for Jimmy ‘The Whirlwind’ White. For all his ability, the mercurial snooker star made a career out of losing important finals.

Every year it was the same story. White would start like a train, steamrollering opponents left, right and centre before spectacularly imploding. But in recent years his finals appearances have been few and far between and his standing in the game has disintegrated.

It seems he has now left the baize behind and is currently working as a lawyer in the guise of Weil Gotshal & Manges partner Mark Soundy.

Tulkinghorn understands that Soundy is content in his new role and recently managed a break of 147 billed hours.
