Charity Tribunal’s first president named

The Lord Chancellor has appointed Alison McKenna as president of the new Charity Tribunal.

McKenna, currently head of the charities team at Wilsons, will take up her new position in June this year.

The recently formed Charity Tribunal was created as a result of the Charities Act 2006 in order to provide an independent route of appeal for charities.

Jonathan Stephens, Wilsons managing partner, said: “We’re thrilled for Alison and immensely proud of her achievement. We wish her all the very best in her new role.”
