South East firm ASB Law has a new head of commercial litigation. Richard Mumford takes over from Andrew Clinton, who became managing partner in May this year. Previously head of financial regulation, Mumford joined the firm as associate from the enforcement division of the Financial Services Authority in 2003. He was promoted to the partnership in 2004. ASB topped The Lawyer Rising 50 table, published this month, with a turnover just £40,000 behind that of UK’s 100th-largest firm, £18m Scottish practice Burness.
