Another IT partner has found an alternative home to Taylor Wessing, quitting the firm for Lewis Silkin.
Sherree Westell is the fourth IT/IP partner to leave the Anglo-German firm this year and others are believed to be seeking an exit.
Her move coincides with a strategy review at Taylor Wessing that is understood to include the restructuring of the IT group.
Westell leaves after eight years in the IT/Telecoms Group at the firm, where she was made a partner in 1999 and co-managed a team of 15. During this period she also spent significant periods of time working in-house on secondment with clients of the firm (including a High Street retail bank and global supplier of IT products and services).
Westell will join Lewis Silkin as a partner and will focus on her core specialities, which include outsourcing, IT and new media. Her experience ranges from running large-scale outsourcing and IT procurement projects to advising technology and new media small and medium enterprises.
