GE Consumer Finance Home Lending has taken GE Consumer Finance Europe’s David Carson as its new legal counsel.
Carson is now part of the senior management team, reporting directly to Colin Shave, chief executive officer, who said: “David’s reputation is well founded and his work in the regulatory arena in 2004 was recognised by GE when he received an ‘Outstanding Achievement Award.”
Carson worked with GE Home Lending on the lead up to FSA regulation in 2004. He commented: “Having helped the business address the challenges posed by new regulations over the last 12 months, I’m looking forward to ensuring it functions optimally in the new regulatory environment.”
Carson began his career in corporate finance and banking at Slaughter and May, specialising in financial services and mergers and acquisitions.
