LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae has poached US rival Vinson & Elkins’ London managing partner.
John LaMaster, a US-qualified M&A and project finance lawyer, is joining LeBoeuf’s office as a partner.
His departure follows the recent defection of Vinson’s Moscow head Douglas Glass who left for Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld two months ago.
Texas-based Vinson, best known for its energy practice, has suffered in the wake of losing key client Enron. The firm has been forced into successive redundancy programmes after the collapse of the disgraced energy trader.
