At least three DJ Freeman partners and a small number of other property and media fee-earners have yet to find homes, following the firm's shock announcement last week that it was splitting in two

As revealed on www. thelawyer.com/lawyernews (12 March), the largest proportions of the firm's media and property practices are joining Olswang, and as of 1 May, DJ Freeman will rebrand itself as Kendall Freeman, a niche insurance and litigation practice.

The decision was made known to DJ Freeman's staff last Monday (10 March); on Tuesday the management undertook a consultation pro-cess with a small number of the fee-earners and a significant number of support staff.

Olswang took a partner vote on Monday to bring on board 38 of DJ Freeman's lawyers and 15 support staff.
