Gibson Dunn launches UK employment practice

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher has set up a UK employment practice, scooping Ashurst employment partner James Cox for its London office.

Cox specialises on the employment side of M&A deals, industrial disputes, corporate governance matters and employment issues facing private equity companies.

“We are pleased to welcome James to the firm,” said Gibson Dunn managing partner Ken Doran. “His addition allows us to offer English employment law capability, another new practice area for the London office.”

Over the last year the firm has grown its London headcount by 58 per cent to 45 lawyers.
