Weil Gotshal partner quits to join MoFo

Silicon Valley firm Morrison & Foerster (MoFo) is poised to boost its London office with the arrival of a new telecoms partner from Weil Gotshal & Manges.

David Naylor is a four-year qualified senior associate at the London office of Weil Gotshal but is talking to MoFo about a partnership after the firm lost its London managing partner earlier this month.

Gary Rincke left to become head of legal at the Pearson Group, leaving MoFo with no partner but two of counsel in London.

Naylor worked closely with Weil Gotshal’s former managing partner Nick Holt, who left at the beginning of May to join KPMG’s associated law firm KLegal (The Lawyer, 1 May).

William Schwartz, MoFo’s managing partner, confirms he is talking to Naylor.
