Watson Farley & Williams has bolted on a partner and two assistants to its fledgling Rome office

The addition of Carlo Galdo and his team adds to Watson Farley's finance capability in Italy.

Galdo set up his own firm in 1995 and was previously an equity partner at Studio Avv Ercole Graziadei in Rome. He has close contacts with several key Watson Farley clients and a number of banks and financial institutions in Italy.

Watson Farley launched its Rome practice in September last year, with the hire of an associate and trainee from Carnelutti. The aim is to focus on project and infrastructure work.

Watson Farley managing partner Michael Greville said: “Carlo's practice fits well with Watson Farley's practice outside Italy and will allow us to develop the Rome office in the finance and maritime sectors.”
