Dibb Lupton Alsop has lost four corporate recovery and insolvency specialists to Linklaters & Paines, including the well regarded former head of the practice at Dibb Lupton Broomhead, Anthony Bugg, and litigation partner Susan Kelly. None of the four will be partners at Linklaters, and they will be joining former Dibb Lupton Alsop insolvency partner Richard Wright, who joined the firm in October and holds the title 'of counsel', which denotes seniority but not partnership. Terence Kyle, managing partner at Linklaters, said the firm “had been looking to strengthen the insolvency team for a while and the opportunity arose to do so”. However, he refused to speculate about the background to the move. The four lawyers will not join Linklaters until March. They were unavailable for comment at Dibb Lupton Alsop and a spokeswoman for the firm also refused to disclose any details about the move.
