The firm was one of five to pitch for the position and takes over a workload that was previously carried out by six firms.
Gala Coral general counsel Harry Willits said Burness stood out among the firms pitching for the work.
“They’re very well-organised, are very transparent with fee structures and we actually really liked them as a team,” said Willits.
Willits added that he had decided to hand the employment work to a single firm because the previous system, which saw different providers engaged across the group’s various businesses, was not cost-effective.
Burness employment partner David Morgan manages the relationship with Gala Coral.
