Slaughter and May is for the first time fully equipped to have its clients around for lunch after the opening of its new offices on 9 June.

The building, at 4 Coleman Street in the City, which is next door to Slaughters' three other offices, is the new home for the firm's tax, property, pensions and employment departments. Their leases, on nearby 18 Coleman Street, have recently run out.

The new office is equipped with five client dining rooms, 35 meeting rooms and a conference room in the basement. Jonathan Haw, executive partner in charge of premises, said the firm had previously had only one client dining room.

“It will be nice to have clients there for lunch rather than having to go off to some anonymous restaurant,” he said.
