The London office of Morgan Lewis is moving to new premises to prepare for a doubling in lawyer numbers.
The 35,000sq ft office, located on the second and third floors of Condor House near St Paul’s Cathedral, is 50 per cent larger than the firm’s current base on Gresham Street.
Morgan Lewis managing partner Robert Goldspink said: “The new office is bigger, but it’s also more efficient, and we’ll be able to get roughly twice as many people in as we do now. We’re 35 lawyers now and the move will allow us to grow to 65-70 lawyers, plus support staff.”
Goldspink said he wanted to reach that number by 2009 and that he would announce a number of lateral hires later this month.
Condor House recycles 75 per cent of its waste and tests all suppliers for their CO2 emissions.
