•Niche employment firm Archon Solicitors has hired senior associate Jill Scott from the London office of Eversheds.

•Insurance firm Fishburns has promoted two associates to its partnership. They are Harriet Quiney, who specialises in professional negligence, and Jonathon Moss, who specialises in international trade.

•Jordans Solicitors has appointed Andy Watson as head of commercial development in the property services division. He joins from Landmark Information Group, where he was head of sales.

•Lanyon Bowdler Solicitors has hired associate Sue Hodgson into the family group from Martin Kaye Solicitors. Paula Nash also joins the firm from Glynns Solicitors as head of clinical negligence.

Forsters has appointed two property partners. Jake Davies joins the construction team from Jones Day, while Sarah Pass has been promoted internally, boosting the property practice to 18 partners.

•Devonshires Solicitors has promoted three assistants to its partnership. They are Andrew Castles and Jonathan Passman in the property group and James Dunn in litigation and dispute resolution.

•Nottingham-based Andersons Solicitors has hired legal executive advocate Faizal Essat, who was formerly head of legal and special projects at Imperial International.

•AMJ Solicitors has hired former DLA Piper partner Gary Gallen as head of its corporate investigation and governance unit.

Clarke Willmott has appointed Jeremy Bowden as head of the insolvency practice in the firm’s Birmingham office. Bowden joins from DLA Piper.

Withy King has recruited Stuart Brazington as a partner in the personal injury team from Clarke Willmott’s Bristol office.

•US firm Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal has made up 17 new partners and three of counsel. Four of the promotions were in California, with the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices getting two apiece, while the Washington DC, Chicago, St Louis and Kansas City offices also benefited.
