Tulkinghorn has discovered that The Fast Show’s Swiss Toni has a sideline in law firm management. One of Tulkinghorn’s scribes just couldn’t help noticing that Carnelutti managing partner Luca Arnaboldi had been taking lessons from The Fast Show’s car salesman and self-proclaimed god of love. Apparently, according to Arnaboldi, his firm’s merger with McDermott Will & Emery has something to do with the US firm’s entrepreneurial spirit… or something like that. Arnaboldi’s exact words on the reason for the merger were: “Well, let me tell you why McDermotts is like a beautiful woman.” Oh well, at least it made a nice change from the all-time classic: “We’re delighted, and culturally it’s a perfect fit.”
