Leading white collar crime firm Kingsley Napley is taking legal action to prevent a former employee disclosing confidential information.
The London firm has gone to the High Court to recover a laptop computer, and any other source of sensitive material from former assistant solicitor Nicholas Greenfield. It issued a writ last week seeking delivery up of the property, and is seeking an injunction against Greenfield using information belonging to the firm.
It includes a claim for alleged “breach of fiduciary duty and duty of fidelity” damages.
The firm says it cannot discuss the case under the terms of the writ but it is understood senior lawyers regard the matter as “a storm in a teacup”.
