Closed in time for Christmas, this was the fourth health scheme completed by Pinsent Curtis during 2000 and the project group’s second for Hull & East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
Leeds partner Michael Boyd led the Pinsent Curtis team. Boyd joined the firm in January 1998, bringing valuable experience from the policy and approval environment thanks to an 18-month secondment to the NHS Private Finance Unit.
The pathfinder Hull & East Yorkshire project was one of the first Boyd took on after moving back to private practice. It is the biggest development the region has seen since Hull Royal Infirmary was built more than 20 years ago.
The merged Hull & East Yorkshire trust is a longstanding client of the firm. Last year, Pinsent Curtis advised it on a new £8m development on an existing hospital site.
