Congratulations are due to Norton Rose partner Pete Talibart. The employment partner recently returned from the 2005 World Masters Games in Edmonton, Canada, clutching a silver medal.
Canadian-born Talibart was playing rugby union for the home team, the Edmonton Leprechaun Tigers (catchy name), which came second in the aged 35-49 competition.
Sadly, having battled their way to the ultimate game in five earlier matches, the Tigers were battered 31-5 by fellow Canadians the Cowichan Barbarians. There’s no love lost, even for compatriots, in rugby.
