I start late and leave late.

A Bollywood actor. Or creative head in an advertising agency.

Rain Man.

Dancing in the Dark, by Bruce Springsteen.

Who’s your hero and why?

Sir Alex – always ambitious. And my father, for the same reason plus his generosity.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Biz dev.

What’s the toughest thing about your job?

Justifying biz dev to the CEO.

What’s your biggest work/career mistake and what did you learn from it?

No mistakes, no regrets – just things you do and things you don’t.

What book are you reading?

Israel Is Real, by Rich Cohen.

What’s your favourite children’s book?

American Psycho.

What’s the most exciting deal/case you’ve worked on and why?

Come on, that’s below the belt. You know I’m a property lawyer. Actually, the London US Embassy job still does it for me.

What’s the worst partner conference location you’ve attended and why?

The way to ruin any location is to have a partner conference there.

I was teetotal until the age of 25; I was told I was good enough to be a professional snooker player when I was 10; I’ve written off four cars.
