Incorrect procedures used to select jurors at the Crown Court centre in Stoke-on-Trent could lead to a series of appeals. The centre, in the Midlands and Oxford Circuit, was investigated by staff of chief executive of the court service, Michael Huebner, after the son of a member of court staff served as a juror on a number of occasions. Huebner's staff found seven people, including relatives or friends of members of court staff, had been summoned as jurors under incorrect procedures between April 1992 and July 1995.
