Atteys takes over rival in South Yorks market push

South Yorkshire firm Atteys Solicitors has sealed a merger with Doncaster-based rival Richmonds Solicitors.

The move follows the acquisition by Atteys late last year of two-partner private client firm Taylors Solicitors.

Commenting on the merger, Gill Knight, managing partner at Atteys, said Richmonds had a strong reputation in South Yorkshire for its expertise in commercial law.

“By joining forces,” she added, “we’ll be able to offer a wider range of services.”

She hopes the latest deal will help cement Atteys’ position as one of South Yorkshire’s largest legal practices, with around 350 employees across 10 offices.

Richmonds’ former headquarters in Doncaster are to be rebranded as Atteys Commercial, while Atteys’ Doncaster commercial team is planning to relocate to the new office.
