White & Case takes on two in Germany

White & Case in Frankfurt is continuing its expansion with the appointment of two new partners.

M&A partner Antje Mattfeld joins from Schön Nolte Finkelnburg & Clemm, where she advised on cross-border transactions; she is also experienced in competition law.

Finance lawyer Julia Müller joins on 1 August from Allen & Overy, where she was an associate. She specialises in banking finance work with a particular focus on acquisition and project finance.

The move follows recent recruitment in the finance and corporate departments. In January, acquisition finance lawyer Annica Lindegren joined from Clifford Chance Pünder, corporate and communications partner Sebastien von Westphalen from Washington boutique Wilkinson Barker Knauer, and finance partner Wolfram Willburger joined from PricewaterhouseCoopers.

White & Case executive partner in Germany Matthias Kasch says that the scope of work from major clients has been the driving force behind the recruitment.
