Brighton firm Dean Wilson Laing has seen equity partner and head of residential property Jo Ward move to City firm Taylor Joynson Garrett

Taylor Joynson has hired Ward as a salaried partner to head residential property in its private client department.
In her new role, Ward will manage a team of two assistants and two paralegals. She will specialise in high-value freehold and leasehold property.
Ward has been app-ointed to replace residential property head Beverley Lewis, who left to join West End firm Forsters in September.
Ward describes her move as a “fresh start” as she is not bringing any of her Brighton practice with her. “Most of my old clients were local and you have to remember that London chargeout rates are higher and that was a deterrent for them,” Ward said.
Ward will work under Taylor Joynson's private client head Philippa Blake-Roberts.
