In brief: Solicitor jailed over corruption and cheating

Solicitor John Harry Roberts has been sentenced to three years and eight months imprisonment having been convicted of corruption and of cheating the Inland Revenue. Roberts was found guilty of perverting the course of justice by removing documents subject to a court injunction and convicted of cheating the revenue for failing to disclose his interest in a Guernsey-based company, Anglo Property Investment, through which monies were channelled following property deals.
