Eversheds’ pensions dept gains Leeds chief

Eversheds has hired one of the partners who left Hammonds at the end of its lock-in period to head its Leeds pensions group.

Terry Saeedi, who led Hammonds’ Leeds-based pensions group, was one of three Hammonds partners to quit the firm earlier this month (TheLawyer.com,
2 October).

Eversheds pensions chief Anthony Arter said: “Having headed up Hammonds’ pension group in Leeds, it means that Terry has many links with the local community and much influence.”

Arter added that the hire of Saeedi, whose previous clients include Northern Electric Group Trustees, takes the firmwide pensions practice to a total of 14 partners and 56 lawyers.
