Profile too low for female lawyers

I have been doing a little study of photographs in The Lawyer recently and cannot help noticing the predominance of articles and photographs about or by men in the profession.

Out of a total of 29 photographs in a recent issue, 22 of those featured were of men and only seven were of women. These included photographs of Cherie Booth, Germaine Greer and Mo Mowlam in an advert for the Millennium Woman Lawyer Forum!

Perhaps The Lawyer needs to send a representative to the forum to see what can be done to recognise "dynamic and inspirational women lawyers as today's leaders and the profession's future".
