Charles Russell is preparing to launch in Oxford at the same time as the firm is looking for new premises in London.
The firm’s new Oxford office will officially open in two months. It will focus on information technology, bio-science, publishing and higher education.
Corporate commercial partner Peter Elliott, who joined Charles Russell from Blake Lapthorn Linnell last September, will head the new office.
Meanwhile the firm is also searching for new 60,000sq ft premises within the mid-town area of London, with a plan to move in within 12 months.
Letting agents have confirmed that the firm has viewed several properties near the London law courts, but is not in advanced negotiations on any one site.
Charles Russell has two break clauses in the lease for its current premises on New Fetter Lane, in 2006 and 2009.
The firm also has existing premises in Cheltenham and Guildford.
