The RAC has called on the Government to implement the recommendations made by Sir David Clementi in his report into the legal industry.
RAC’s head of legal affairs Johnathan Gulliford welcomed Clementi’s findings, that were published today, and said: “Clementi’s report provides the foundation for the 21st century legal industry that puts the customer first.”
“If Clementi’s recommendations are adopted consumers will get improved choice and better access to justice, while the professionalism of the industry is maintained,” added Gulliford.
Adopting Clementi’s recommendations would also enable organisations such as the RAC to launch their own full service legal practice.
As first reported on www.thelawyer.com/lawyernews (15 December) Clementi today published his report that could lead to a radical shake-up of the legal industry.
