The London office of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy has missed out in the firm’s latest round of promotions.
The firm, which promoted 11 to the partnership across various offices, has promoted most heavily in its US offices, particularly Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC. The firm’s main office in New York saw the greatest number of promotions at five.
Internationally, Frankfurt, Munich and Singapore all received one promotion each.
The number of promotions at the US firm dipped dramatically last year, dropping from 12 in 2005 to six in 2006.
In 2005 the firm promoted eight US-based lawyers to the partnership, two in Asia, one in Europe and one in the UK.
Last year, four lawyers were promoted in the States and two in London.
