Pitmans sets up City pensions team with Nabarro hire

Nabarro partner Ian Flowers has moved over to Reading firm Pitmans to establish a London-based pensions team.

Flowers, who previously worked between the Sheffield and London offices at Nabarro, told The Lawyer that he will be assisted by Reading-based lawyers as he builds up a pensions offering at Pitmans two-year-old office in the capital.

He will initially draw upon a team of 20 lawyers until further pensions specialists are recruited to the London office.

Flowers has experience carrying out general scheme advisory and documentation work for FTSE and UK pension scheme clients.

Prior to his stint at Nabarro, Flowers was at Mayer Brown legacy firm Rowe & Maw. Before that he worked at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Nabarro was unavailable for comment.
