Regional law firm network LawNet has just won a trademark battle against a US legal organisation of the same name.
The battle started when the US Lawnet sponsored seminars at a conference in Birmingham, which UK Lawnet members attended believing it was their event.
LawNet UK Operations Director Adrian Dion said the matter was resolved easily and the US organisation has agreed not to use the name in the UK.
“We have had the trademark for 14 years so it was easy to get a settlement,” he said.
