US international firm Baker & McKenzie has cast its net for a corporate or finance lawyer to join as a partner in the Ukraine.
The firm, recruiting for its Kiev office, acts for Ukrainian enterprises and more than 350 multi-national corporations. Work includes financing transactions, joint venture agreements, establishment of foreign subsidiaries and tax advice.
The successful candidate, expected to sign a £100,000 salary package, will be Western European or US-qualified with at least six years' corporate, banking or projects experience in a leading Western law firm.
David Winter, London partner responsible for East/West practice, says the firm identified the need for an additional partner in the Kiev office when independence was declared.
